Hi infrastellar - Erstmal Willkommen im Forum. Und kurz auf Englisch:
Sorry your Post was held in Mod for a while. As you doubtlessly noticed by now, the common language in this forum is German and not everyone here speaks English, so we had to have a bit of a discussion on how to best proceed.
If you're not comfortable writing in German, you can ask for help anytime, quite a few of us are used to writing in English (and, in my case, Swedish and a bit of French). Additionally, you can use DeepL, which usually produces reasonable enough results (though they sometimes end up with an odd mix of very formal and somewhat informal language, which is rather obvious to anyone who has seen it before).
I also moved your Post to the introduction section, where it seems to belong.
All of that being said, I'll sign off with an English version of my usual line:
Welcome to the forum.

Vitajte na fóre! Ak má Deepl problémy so slovenčinou, použite prekladač Google.

Vitaj infrastellar! As a kid I travelled a lot in the ČSSR, mostly in the Vysoké Tatry. Wonderful memories! I speak russian and understand czech and slovak language at a low level but unfortunately not enough to speak it fluently.

Hey infrastellar,
welcome to the german hammock forum.
Do you already know about hammockforums.net with the (American) English Community?

Well hello there

Welcome to the forum. Very happy to see someone else with camping experience to the east of Germany.
Please be prepared for loads of questions from me about DIY gear materials from Slovakia.
Jokes aside, I firmly believe our neighbors have some suppliers in that area unknown to us. If it wouldn't be for the language barrier...
Slovakia also makes for such a nice hiking destination. *Dreaming*

Welcome to the Forum!
I was living four nears in Austria nearby Bratislava, so I know a bit the flat part of Slovakia. I really like it! Welcome here!

Unfortunately Slovakia is not a DIY materials country. Everything that I made /tarps, hammocks/, I made with materials brought from USA, such dutchwaregear or ripstopbytheroll.

Have you ever heard of GrammXpert/AdventureXpert? O.k. it's not in Slovakia but in Slovenia. But it ist not USA, either
More Shops in EU on our Vendorlist. Welcome to the forum btw.

That's cool, infrastellar ! I recommend you the March-River, it's nicer than the Danube because there are no boats and ships, and more wild nature. Good for an 2-days-trip! It runs the border between Austria and Slovakia.
Cheers!

Yes I know March river, but its really overkill with the mosquitos in their season. For such kind of rivers, there is inland Danube delta on the border with Hungary and Slovakia, much wilder then March river
We have our private small island over there

Hey, I would really love to float the upper Danube, and please, do you have any knowledge about some nice beaches around your area? It seems to be quite green down from your city. Would be great !
