That's cool, infrastellar ! I recommend you the March-River, it's nicer than the Danube because there are no boats and ships, and more wild nature. Good for an 2-days-trip! It runs the border between Austria and Slovakia.

    Cheers!

Yes I know March river, but its really overkill with the mosquitos in their season. For such kind of rivers, there is inland Danube delta on the border with Hungary and Slovakia, much wilder then March river :) We have our private small island over there :)

    Well hello there :)

Welcome to the forum. Very happy to see someone else with camping experience to the east of Germany.

Please be prepared for loads of questions from me about DIY gear materials from Slovakia.

Jokes aside, I firmly believe our neighbors have some suppliers in that area unknown to us. If it wouldn't be for the language barrier...

Slovakia also makes for such a nice hiking destination. *Dreaming*

Unfortunately Slovakia is not a DIY materials country. Everything that I made /tarps, hammocks/, I made with materials brought from USA, such dutchwaregear or ripstopbytheroll.

I will take the 20D fabric for outer shell and 15D for inner.

I hesitate with this question, because my experience with 20F lynx is, that is capable to go up to -10 celsius. There might be quite a big reserve within the stated comfort and the reality. For me :)

I used recent memorial day and ordered 0F diamondback topquilt with 20D out and 15D in. The wookie was not part of the sale, so I will wait for blackfriday :)

I am thinking about to get 0F or 20F. I usually use the ridgerunner, but for the extreme windy conditions, I would probably take gathered end hammock. Till now I have cumulus selva 600, but to save some weight I am about to switch to wookie. And... eldorado is on the way to me, so I want to try wookie solution as well. For ridgerunner I have 20F and 0F lynx. Didnt manage to get proper use of the 0F quilt, as the last winter was too warm. But that is true, that a temperature might come in handy if that means only 90grams and few bucks more.

Welcome to the German Hammock Forums!

It's great to see that you found your way over to us :) I'm looking forward to beautiful photo reports!

Hi, thanks :) I might not join the forthcoming meeting, but will watch for some black forest adventure if there will be :)

Hi guys, I have no idea what are you talking about here, but anyway, will take time to translate with google what is going on here. Meanwhile greetings from Slovakia. I was somehow brought here by Im Wald unterwegs channel, where I liked a lot the forest footage.
